History From 1969
up to the present Luis Sanz Busto, the son of Asterio Sanz, a building material supplier in Valladolid, and the son of Rutila Busto, the daughter of well-known farmers from Camporredondo, through great effort, work and love, was able to help the family business to survive through the third generation, during this new stage. As a result he was rewarded with the 1996 Businessman of the Year Award in the Grape and Wine sector. Luis and Mª Luz live with their four children. Among them, two, Belen and Iván, are related to the wine world, and the other two, Marta and Luis, followed their father’s example in the medical field. After having shared their interest for farming and vine growing with their father and grandfather since their childhood, currently Belen and Iván are the one who enthusiastically carry the weight of business. Their education along with the support provided by their expert and knowledgeable father who has encouraged them to love this land, have helped them to deal with this complex but rewarding job. Brother and sister, in conjunction but playing different roles, (Belen as the Technical Manager and Iván responsible for vine growing tasks and wine commercialization) work to further develop this project his father strongly believed in, keeping alive these wines of an outstanding quality. The wine-related tourism is the new project Iván and Belen have been committed to. Their intention is to pass on the culture of this land and these wines. For that reason, they have restored the facilities next to the country house and cellar (the old stables) with the support of their mother who is passionate about interior design. Two large and comfortable rooms for events and meetings, all surrounded by courtyards and green gardens of different ambient, are now available. |
